When This Box is Full is a children's book by Patricia Lillie, with art by Donald Crews, published in 1999. It is available at the Internet Archive.
Here is a YouTube read-along:
Earlier I blogged about Lillie's When the Rooster Crowed, a variation on the animal-sounds tradition as in "Old MacDonald," etc. This story is not really a story but instead a calendar-based chain as new objects are added to the box month by month; the objects are not narrated cumulatively, but they do all accumulate in the box so that after a year it is full. Then, when the box is full: "I will share it with you!"
The art is very simple, with photographs of the objects pasted into a kind of collage, so that means this could be a fun project for students to do in a class, making their own box/collage with photographs that represent the course of a year.
