There Was an Old Mummy Who Swallowed a Spider is a children's book by Jennifer Ward (who has done 6 "swallowing" books), with art by Steve Gray, published in 2016. It is available at the Internet Archive.
Here is a YouTube read-along:
Earlier I wrote about Ward's There Was an Old Pirate who Swallowed a Fish, also illustrated by Steve Gray. The mummy's chain starts with a spider, then a rat, crow, bone, brew, witch, ghost...
and what's next? It could be YOU!
There's nothing really distinctive about this book compared to other "there was a ___ who swallowed a ___," but it's a solid addition to the enormous collection of "swallowing" stories that hopefully will inspire other writers to create their own.
